Starting in Aveton Gifford, this 5.5km guided swim follows the winding River Avon as it meanders through rolling valleys, quiet countryside, and abundant wildlife habitats before finishing with the famous Bantham Swoosh.
The river journey offers a completely different feel to coastal swimming. The water is typically calm, allowing you to settle into a rhythm and fully enjoy the surroundings while our safety team provides support throughout the swim. Along the route, you may spot local birdlife, fish, and hidden corners of the estuary rarely seen from land.
As the river approaches Bantham, the current begins to build, leading into the exhilarating final swoosh section to complete the experience.
